As the disembodied protagonist whose consciousness has been translated into a sentient program, the player hurtles through the rampaging neurocomputer Con-Human's circuits, battling defensive mechanisms on the way to the emergency override program. The evasion and kill percentage against enemy programs is calculated into a network infiltration rate, and the pattern of the enemies' appearance as well as other parameters change according to this ever-fluid variable.
