DESCRIPTION
Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest for Booty is a download-only add-on that once again puts players in the shoes of the universe's foremost lug nut-loving Lombax, this time with the intent of bridging the gap between the cliffhanger ending of Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction and its full-length sequel. The game takes place one year after Clank's disappearance at the hands of the mysterious Zoni, when Ratchet finds himself washed ashore on a remote island. Players must help him battle through hordes of monsters and robots on the hunt for Captain Angstrom Darkwater, who possesses of the only known link to the Zoni: the Fulcrum Star. Assisting gamers in this task is the Omniwrench's new tether ability, which turns Ratchet's primary weapon into a Half-Life-style gravity gun that can fire random objects at enemies. In all, Quest for Booty offers players a platform adventure that, according to developer Insomniac, lasts approximately three to four hours. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

“I love Ratchet & Clank games, but I wasn't feeling this one. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but something felt...off. It's like this was a tech demo more than a story to tie two games together. Also, the amount of content didn't quite...”
“I love Ratchet & Clank games, but I wasn't feeling this one. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but something felt...off. It's like this was a tech demo more than a story to tie two games together. Also, the amount of content didn't quite justify the price. I can only recommend this if you love the series and find it on sale.”

“I really enjoyed this game. It wish it had of been a little big longer, but overall this is great. The graphics are really good, game play is awesome, and the story is great. I only found one section of the game that I didn't care for. With a little slow paced play though it's still easy to get through the hard parts. I recommend this to anyone that likes platfomers or R&C at all. ”

“Now that I've finished the game, (well three of them), and have had time to think about it. I have to say that the "shooty space parts" ain't so bad. Once you get used to how the ship...”

“I love Ratchet and Clank, but this game really didn't 'FEEL' like a Ratchet and Clank Game, at all. Many people complained about it being too short. Well, it was short but that wasn't the problem. To me, it felt like 'something was missing'. You...”
“I love Ratchet and Clank, but this game really didn't 'FEEL' like a Ratchet and Clank Game, at all. Many people complained about it being too short. Well, it was short but that wasn't the problem. To me, it felt like 'something was missing'. You stayed on the same planet the whole time, so it didn't feel like I was getting any where, because I wasn't traveling to different places -- in search of things. Also, it seemed like I was re-playing the same boards, just in a different cave, with different rock textures.
The 3rd game in the 'Future Series', "A Crack In Time", went above and beyond (even thought the weapons were complete shit). I guess 'Quest For Booty' was an attempted at episodic gaming? Which would have been fine, if it felt like it belong to the R&C series. And there wasn't a year and a half break in between.”

“I found this game surprisingly short. I think I made it through in 5 hours, tops, and I died a whole bunch of times in a couple of spots requiring restarting an area. I'm looking forward to A...”
