DESCRIPTION

RalliSport Challenge 2 is the first racing game to play on the XSN Sports system and features numerous advancements over its predecessor. Through Xbox Live, players are empowered to create their own racing leagues, compete in large-scale tournaments, and monitor their progress on XSNsports.com. Other improvements over the original RalliSport Challenge include enhanced vehicle physics, which allow for damage modeling and performance degradation resulting from abuse. New camera angles showcase wild crashes, as you maneuver your way around the wreck safely while track personnel warn onlookers at the side of the road to watch for oncoming racers.

Ninety tracks (double the number found in its predecessor) are featured in such locations as Sweden, Australia, Great Britain, Argentina, and the Grand Canyon. Six game modes exist, including Career, Single Race, and Multiplayer, along with five rally race modes such as Rally Cross, Ice Racing, and a new Cross Over Duel mode designed to test players' driving abilities at extreme speeds. The game features 40 of the most renowned Rally cars, including notorious "Group B" cars that were outlawed due to their extreme power. Other available automobiles include the Renault Megane Maxi, Volvo 440T, Lancia Stratos, and Ford GT70.

In addition to the collection of rally cars, players are able to make minor modifications to account for the unique characteristics of each track — dampers, brake balance, steering and gear ratio are all adjustable, and if done properly could prove to be the difference between being the first to the checkered flag or sitting humiliated and defeated beside the virtual race track. ~ Damian Francis, All Game Guide
