DESCRIPTION

Irem's classic arcade franchise blasts off on PSP for the first time in R-Type: Command, a game that takes a tactical departure from the series' 2D shooter tradition. Following a user-driven narrative and played on a hex-grid with turn-based combat, Command is a strategy RPG set in the R-Type universe.

Following the game's main storyline, players begin as a lost fleet commander, far from friendly space, low on fuel and all alone. Making use of the resources he can scavenge and finding new allies where he can, the commander develops a force worthy of the large-scale combat he must ultimately face to save the human race from the evil Bydo Empire. ~ T.J.
