DESCRIPTION
A wholly original creation, Qix has players enclosing areas of an otherwise blank screen with a marker that is used to form squares, rectangles and any number of other line-drawn shapes. Slowly drawn shapes net players twice the points as quickly drawn shapes. As lines are drawn, Qix, Sparx and other enemies get in the way. When at least 75% of the playfield has been filled, it's on to the next level. Despite overly simplistic graphics and crude sound effects, Qix is deviously addicting and is notable for its myriad strategies, intellectual challenges, precise controls and virtually infinite screen combinations. Abstract minimalism at its videogame best. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
