Puzzle Bobble is back and the N-Gage has it. Following releases on a range of gaming systems, from the SNES to the PS2, Taito's Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move series comes to Nokia's portable gaming platform in the form of this launch title.

As in many action-puzzles, gameplay is somewhat reminiscent of Tetris, for the player must deal with a stream of objects that fill up a fixed-screen play field. Instead of interlocking shapes that fall from above, however, Puzzle Bobble VS challenges players with differently colored bubbles that are shot upwards.

Controlling one of two cute dinosaur characters, Bub or Bob, players operate a blaster that fires bubbles to the top of the screen. Bubbles with matching colors are cleared, while other bubbles remain where they are placed. The challenge is intensified in multiplayer games, where players can also fire bubbles into their opponent's field of play. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
