DESCRIPTION

Puyo Pop is a puzzle game featuring colored gobs of goo known as puyos. Puyos fall from the top of the screen in matching pairs of two. Players can rotate each pair while they are falling and move them side-to-side as they attempt to match the falling puyos with those stacked along the bottom of the screen. When four or more of the same colored puyos are linked together, they disappear from the screen, causing the remaining puyos to drop into the recently vacated areas.

The main mode of play in Puyo Pop is Versus, where the goal is to keep the puyos from reaching the top of the screen while an opponent does the same. However, players can help their opponent make an early exit from the game. By causing chain reactions and combinations, players will be able to drop additional puyos on their opponent.
