DESCRIPTION
Project S-11 derives its name from a top-secret project that was set up to defend against terrorists and alien attacks. You are a key part of this program and are at the helm one of the operation's most powerful ships, a specially outfitted and modified unit capable of taking on whatever the enemy has in store for you. Recently, it has been discovered that a hostile alien race is in the process of constructing a super weapon capable of wiping out mankind.
Your job in this game is to blast every alien in sight and deliver tactical information to your defensive base in Lewap Forest, which is in level number three. The other seven levels are as follows: Ekans Desert, Kenhull Badlands, Bern Jungle, Ma'akai Volcano, Giel Glacial Park, Notav Space Quadrant and Planet Cephei. At the end of each level, you must face a boss.
Certain enemies, when destroyed, emit power-up items, such as a sonic weapon of mass destruction, a flame-thrower, missiles, extra lives, bombs and a Sinus weapon, which fires interlacing rings. Your standard weapon is a laser, which is pretty powerful in its own right, especially when you have powered it up.
The alien-blasting action takes place on three-quarters of the screen while the quarter on the right side of the screen contains a statistical readout. Here you can see how many ships remain, the number of bombs you currently have at your disposal (up to six), your ship's armor level, power level of your currently selected weapon (up to six levels), and your score. Project S-11 includes a password feature for use in saving your progress. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
