“Project Gotham Racing 4 is a well made racing sim from Bizarre Creations. By no means is it up there in quality with your Forzas and your Gran Turismos, but it's a very good game that has its perks. One of those perks is the ability to race in motorcycles in the game, while another is the dynamic weather. On top of the bikes, the car selection is good. The race tracks are represented well. The graphics, for a game of it's time are very good. The soundtrack, to say the least, is interesting.

The vehicle selection, I think, is excellent. It contains both cars and bikes available. The game's bikes range from Harley Davidsons to Suzukis and BMWs. It has your basic cars, including the following: Fords, Dodges, Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Toyotas, etc. as well as others. On top of that, it has a few old-school race cars like the Jaguar D-Type.

The race tracks span the globe, from Shaghai to New York. All of the tracks look good and are fun to race on.

I will say I am a big fan of the weather conditions effect in the game, which is a big addition to the game and a true selling point. What it does is take a weather condition - for this example snow - and it makes a difference in the race. With snow, cars are much more prone to sliding. There are many other effetcs like rain, storm and ice.

As I said earlier, for a game in 2007, it looks good. Cars have reflections and the tracks, as well as the surroundings, are looking good as well.

The sounds of the game vary. The cars sound decent and the screeching tires are all in. However, the soundtrach features an interesting mix of songs. Sometimes you'll be racing to some hard rock, while at others your racing to the symphony orchestra. Different, to say the least.

One thing that I might be dissapointed about with the game is probably that there isn't any customization in the vehicles. You can change the colors before a race. You can also apply vinyls, but the slection is limited and you can't layer any together. There is no upgrading or tuning sections, so when you play the game, you're racing with the cars straight from the box. It's not that bad a thing, though, as it works for a good change of pace from some racing games where it's all about upgrading.

Overall, for an '07 game, it's very good. I still enjoy turning it on a lot of the time. I give the game 4 stars out of 5. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go get some Kudos (in-game currency of Project Gotham Racing 4).”
