Konami's critically acclaimed soccer series returns to Nintendo DS with Pro Evolution Soccer 2008. The heart of the game is the World Tour, which involves creating a new team and advancing through eleven distinct groups, each assigned a letter of the alphabet that corresponds to its overall difficulty. Defeating a group has the added benefit of being able to transfer athletes to the custom team's roster.
A DS game wouldn't be complete without a few mini-games to kick around, and Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 includes 20 events that involve mastering specific skills. Perfecting your technique in the mini-games earns you coins to purchase various items in a shop. Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 also supports online connectivity for up to four players as well as single-card download play for matches against a friend. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
