From 1998 to 2006 Mark Tyler was the most unbeatable boxer on Earth. In fact, he was undefeated. He needed a new challenge. As luck would have it, Gordo Gloop, chairman of the Intergalactic Boxing Federation, was watching from light years away. Tyler accepted Gloop's invitation to compete in the IGBF, hoping to prove himself to be the best fighter in the universe.
In Power Punch II, your job is to lead Tyler through the IGBF circuit and become the undisputed Heavyweight Champion of the Universe. Your path won't be easy, though. You'll have to defeat 12 of the galaxy's toughest boxers in order to claim the title. In order to prepare, you may choose to train in the workout mode, which can increase your endurance, strength, and agility. You can also earn up to four Power Punches, which can be used as devastating blows to your opponent.
Once in the ring, your view is from behind Tyler's back. In addition to your Power Punches, you can jab, dodge, block, and throw uppercuts. You'll have three one-minute rounds in which to defeat your opponent by knockout, technical knockout (three knock downs in one round), or decision (not likely with biased intergalactic judges, though). Your final match is with "Fighing" Fly-Mo, the current Heavyweight Champion of the Universe. It's up to you to take his title from him and become the pride of the human race in Power Punch II. ~ Christopher Michael Baker, All Game Guide
