Bolstered by a ton of anime cinemas and an astounding three hours of spoken dialogue, Popful Mail is a fun side-scrolling hack-'n'-slash game with light RPG elements (such as armor upgrades) and a tremendous sense of humor. Players select (at any time) from three characters — bounty hunter Popful Mail, timid magician Tatt, and nutty bat creature Gaw — each with his own running and jumping abilities. Hardcore RPG gamers will be disappointed by the lack of hidden areas and by the fact that you can't gain experience points, but action fans will find the game infinitely likeable. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
