DESCRIPTION
Based on the popular 1982 Konami arcade game, Pooyan puts players in the role of a mother pig protecting her piglets, affectionately known as "Pooyans," from attacking wolves.
In the first stage, "The Pig's House," you control the mother pig by moving her up and down a rope suspended from a treehouse. Wolves drop from an adjacent tree, using balloons to slow their descent. The wolves also throw stones while falling, attempting to knock you off your rope. Shooting arrows and tossing pieces of bait at their balloons cause the wolves to plunge to their deaths. If a wolf descends safely to ground, he will climb the tree, and try to eat you as you move up and down. Defeating 30 wolves will advance you to the next level.
In "Wolf Valley", wolves hurl stones at you as they float to the treetops using balloons. Shooting the balloons will cause the wolves to plummet. If six wolves make it safely to the top, they will drop large rocks on Mother Pig. Defeat the flashing boss wolf to achieve victory.
Players start the game with four lives and earn extras after every 5,000 points. Options offer four variations for one or two players, and players can choose between slow or fast stone throwing, and horizontal or parabolic stone trajectories. The difficulty switches are not used. ~ All Game Guide
