DESCRIPTION

Namco's classic arcade F1-style racer is retooled for Apple's omnipresent music machine. There are no brakes in this version of the game, but who needs brakes? A thumb on the iPod's control wheel is all it takes to accelerate. The control wheel is also used to steer the car, so there's no way to turn and slow down at the same time, but skid-turn drifting is possible with practice. The center button shifts gears, although an automatic mode is available as well. Tracks are based on those of the original 1982 arcade game.
