DESCRIPTION
When you think of racing games, Pole Position probably comes to mind. Pole Position is perhaps the most famous racing game from the early '80s, so famous that it even spawned its own cartoon.
You take control of a Formula-1 race car and try to accumulate the highest score by completing the race as quickly as possible. You begin by racing a qualifying lap in order to race in the Grand Prix. To qualify, you will need to complete the lap in under 73 seconds.
The Grand Prix consists of four laps around the track. For every car you pass, bonus points are awarded. Pole Position ends when you complete the four laps or your time expires. There is only one track for you to race on. ~ Jonathan Sutyak, All Game Guide
