I am also into breeding specialty Mons as well.

Especially now that I can and will Mass Breed Munchlaxes, Spiritombs--and can generally do anything as far as Egg Moves go.

Well, some Egg Moves are still next to impossible for me.

However, considering how I pulled of KR Lurve (that is, a Mudkip with Counter/Magic Coat), I have generally realised how decent I am at the stuff.

My current goal is to breed 1000 Vulpixes.

As well--mostly got to set some kind of weird goal like that, I guess.

Even better, each of them have the moveset of:
* Heat Wave
* Flame Thrower
* Energy Ball (this was a fun one to figure out how to breed into Vulpix... as Vulpix cannot learn it via TM)
* Sunny Day

Working on getting to the point that I can start ever stoning them.”

“@KatrinaTheLamia Oh nice, I have a Vulpix with Energy Ball! I raised a Lotad to level 43 and then bred it to... something else I forget,,, and then to a Vulpix.
Maybe Shiftry was the bridge between the two... I forget. ^_^

I like the idea of a Vulpix with:
Nasty Plot >:-}
Energy Ball
Flame Thrower
-------?

OR something Gimmicky but fun like this:

Overheat (140pwr, 90acc, 5PP, sharply reduces your SpAtk)
Energy Ball
Nasty Plot/Role Play (NP sharply increases SpAtk, RP copies opponent's ability)
Power Swap (switches increases/decreases to its Attack and SpAtk stats with the foe)

Nasty Plot when possible to fire off super powered Energy Balls and Overheats. When your SpA is -2 after a few Overheats you can use Power Swap to cripple your foe and reset the modifier. Ninetales is frail but tricky, so it has a possibility to work. Especially if you could Power Swap against something that's gotten one too many Calm Minds/Nasty Plots, that could be fun.
If you don't want to use Nasty Plot, you could fit Role Play instead, which could be situationally useful. I'll give 2 examples off the top of my head:

A Flygon switches in to Earthquake you. You Role Play, gaining Flygon's ability to Levitate. Whether or not you can now KO that Flygon depends on whether it invested in speed and whether or not it's locked into a Choice move (Choice Scarf or Choice Band), in which case it will likely switch out, letting you get a hit against the opponent or something.

A Vaporeon switches in to Surf you away. You Role Play, gaining their Water Absorb ability, and now that Surf heals you instead of harming (you've gained an immunity!). Energy Ball it.

I'm sure there are lots of fun ways to use Role Play. :D
It could potentially keep Ninetails around a lot longer than normal since it isn't very bulky, and Power Swap lets it fire off full power Overheats while potentially crippling a special attacker enemy with your stat drops.

“Role Play basically works like Gardevoir's Trace ability, except that you choose when to use it and when not to. If Blissy switches in and Thunder Wave/Toxics you, copy her Natural Cure so that when you switch out you heal the status.

Some other interesting ones: Cute Charm, Battle Armor, Filter, Motor Drive, Volt/Water absorb, Intimidate, Guts, Magnet Pull (lol - trap that Magnezone and Overheat? ^.^), Sand Veil, Speed Boost

Think of the possibilities for lolz! Consider these:

Simple - Doubles the effect of status boosts and drops.
^if you Role Played this ability...
...Overheat would lower your attack by -4! Power Swap that over to your opponent so you're at full power and they have a -4 Special Attack XD (if they're a special sweeper they might as well switch out, leaving you to Nasty Plot for free that turn.)

or this:

Tinted Lens - Doubles damage on resisted hits.
^You no longer care about type-coverage.

or this:

Overgrow - Raises the power of Grass-type moves 50% when at 1/3 HP or less.
^now your energy ball will be stronger when your HP are lower.

I mean, only having Flash Fire as your normal ability, once you've switched in nothing is likely to throw a fire move your way to activate this. Might as well borrow something else's ability. Those crafty foxes are always pretending to be something that they're not. :)”

I also learned this stuff from browsing, which helps with the Nature thing a lot.
I MAKE WALL OF WORDS FOR YOU ^_^ hehehehe..

Once you know what nature will be the best one for your beast, there are some nice ways to get it to be the right nature, did you know this?

One of the ways is to have a Pokemon with Synchronize ability and the nature you want in your first slot of your team when you encounter the thing you want to catch. I do this when I want to catch a Legendary of a specific nature. I just breed a bunch of Ralts or Abras and keep a level 1 of each nature and the Synchronize ability away in storage, and I re-use them.

Another way to make something the nature you want is to have a Ditto of the same nature, make that Ditto hold an Everstone, and breed it with the creature you want to hatch. The resulting egg has a 50% chance of being the nature of the Ditto. Some people say this doesn't work for them but it almost always works for me and I'm never lucky so I'd say this works. Also, if you have a female of the thing you want with the right nature, you can give it an Everstone to hold while breeding and the baby still has the 50% chance to have that nature passed on to it. The baby will always be the same species as the mother. This obviously only works with things that can breed (not Legendaries), but it's an okay way to get your collection of Synchronize Abras for those legendaries.

For example, I want a Bold Mesprit. I'm not sure if I have a Bold Abra. So I'll Breed my Bold Ditto holding an Everstone with an Abra, and maybe I'll hatch a Bold Abra. I'll put the Bold Abra in the first slot of my party when I go to encounter the Mesprit. 50% chance of that Mesprit being Bold.

Pickup is great, and especially for things like Shiny Stones or TMs. That's what I hope to find eventually, but any free items are always a welcome surprise :3
@Reiaze Taco is a cute name for a Chikorita! I'm a fan of misspelling stuff on purpose to make it your own haha... my PS3 name is fyrespload which is a bizarre splice of Fire and Explode spelled horribly wrong. In hindsight I might have spelled it fyresplode, because the "load" part on the end confuses some people even more... lol

It seems like because New Bark Town is one of the last places you journey to in Kanto this time around instead of the first, the Metapods and Cacunas that the Trainers in that area have which would normally be around level 5 have been changed to level 60, to be more of a challenge. It makes the encounters pretty funny. :]”

Butterfree are nice to have, on the other hand... to abuse Compoundeyes while item-theft-hunting.
(example: looking for Light Ball on Pikachu =5% chance. With a Butterfree(compound-eyes) in first party slot (fainted, usually), that chance goes up. Banette in my second slot gets sent out and Frisks the Wild Pikachu to see if it's holding a Light Ball. If it is, Banette uses Thief. If it's holding some dumb berry I run.)”

It's the best way to steal from wild pokes!! @zann-consortium, to get a Banette try routes 225 and 226 at Night if you have Diamond/Pearl/Platinum. You can catch one that's level 50. Make sure your lead pokemon is holding some item, so that you'll know if the Banette has Frisk (when you send your pokemon out, it will say something like "the wild Banette frisked your pokemon and found the..." if it has the Frisk ability. If it has Insomnia instead, it wont say that). Butterfree is easier to get, since it evolves at level 10. It only has Compoundeyes, no other ability to worry about.”

So essentially trainers who level up Metapods are representing their urge for a high levelled penis that thy can shout "harden" at repeatedly to make their Metapod way stronger and harder and longer lasting than their opponents.

Also: doesn't Weedle learn Bug Bite at level 15? It would be a little bit of a mind screw if you were fighting a 60lvl Kakuna that bit you (and considering bug bite not only does damage, but it steals your berry and uses it, if you have one)”
