DESCRIPTION
Nintendo DS owners yearning to see their favorite Pokémon characters fight in 3D get their wish with Pokémon Battle Revolution on Wii. As with Pokémon Stadium and Pokémon Colosseum before it, Battle Revolution features a choice of arenas with distinct rules and victory conditions. The wireless capabilities of both the Wii and DS let players seamlessly transfer existing teams from either Pokémon Diamond or Pokémon Pearl handheld titles.
Yet the cross-platform functionality doesn't end there. The handheld's touch screen is used to strategically control each Pokémon character within the ten included 3D arenas, offering players their own private command list free from the prying eyes of nearby friends. Those without nearby friends won't have to miss out on the multiplayer fun, as Pokémon Battle Revolution is the first Wii title with online support for real-time skirmishes against trainers from around the world. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“What a piece of garbage... After all those fun to play Pokemon Stadiums they push out a tacked on Wii game that you pay full price for that you NEED to connect a DS up to so you can enjoy it fully. There is only battle, no exploration, no mini-games... Nothing, just battles where they force you to play their way or no way at all.
JUNK!”

“This game lost a lot of what had really appealed to me in the previous Pokemon Colosseum type games. It lacked the silly little side games that were fun to mess around with. It didn't offer a way to view the secret base in 3D. No really useful extra gifts. It was only a 3D Pokemon battler with an updated roster of new pkmn and attacks. Along with this were a few different battle types. The Roulette type could be a fun strategic mix-up, however I often found myself with almost useless pkmn from the other Trainers. The game also offered a customizable Trainer. While this was mildly interesting to me, many of the costumes were only offered for specific Trainers. It became a chore to try and gain the Pokedollars necessary to change. And, even then, the new costumes really didn't add anything to the game, just a new character to look at. I suppose, all in all, I just expected more.”

“A fun game to mostly just make fun of the whole Pokemon battle thing, make silly trainers, etc., It is more a game of dress up than really anything else. And I love it.”
