Based on the 1986 Williams pinball machine, PinBot is a fine conversion that should please fans of the original and pinball fans in general. Those who grew up playing PinBot will appreciate all the elements carried over from the original machine, such as the robotic voice, jet bumpers, multi-ball play and the robotic visor. In addition to retaining many of the features that made the game an arcade hit, the NES version offers enemies that attack your flippers, enemies that try to steal your ball, and different ball shapes. Rare did a good job of taking advantage of the videogame format by including elements of play not possible on a standard pinball machine. The voice effects are a bit choppy but not bad for the NES, and the graphics look enough like the original machine to receive a passing grade. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
