DESCRIPTION

A rare, non-PC flight simulator, Pilot Academy lets handheld gamers take control of aircraft from throughout aviation history and fly in missions both civilian and military in nature. Gamers can seize the yoke in commercial planes as varied as a Boeing 747, a Concorde, and a crop duster, or take aim at enemies in military planes dating from WWI all the way to modern fighter jets. Players can explore three separate zones, each roughly 64 square kilometers, and test their finger dexterity with aerial maneuvers in stunt planes, test their shooting skills in frenzied dogfights, or test their nerves by safely bringing 300 passengers to the ground during inclement weather. Gamers can also join up to seven friends in four separate multiplayer modes, with the Deathmatch mode featuring game-sharing capabilities that let all eight people play using just one UMD. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
