DESCRIPTION
Phoenix Wright prepares for his final courtroom appearance in Trials and Tribulations for Nintendo DS. The defense attorney with a flair for the dramatic must outwit coffee-guzzling lead prosecutor Godot, who wants nothing more than to prove Wright wrong. To help win each case, players must once again collect evidence, interview suspects, examine crime scenes, and find inconsistencies in witness testimonies. The second game's "psyche-lock" system returns, where the goal is to reveal a character's hidden secrets during interrogation. Trials and Tribulations adds the ability to participate in earlier events in the Ace Attorney timeline, including the opportunity to play as Mia Fey in two of the game's five pivotal cases. The play mechanics are otherwise the same as in previous titles, with the touch-screen interface used for the investigation phase, and the microphone used to say (preferably with feeling) "objection" or "hold it!" during the climactic courtroom phase. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide

“Old geezer Kudo seems to be really upset. I've got a feeling that there is some truth to his claims. Hmm... Oh well, bedtime!”

“Finally met the phony. But that wasn't what caught my eye. Rather, his assistant/lover(?!) is kinda creepy.”

“Half-way through the third case. Finally got to introduce myself to my phony - Furio Tigre. There couldn't have been a more perfect name for him with all that... redness. ”

“I've been working my way through this game at a pretty steady pace.. for once, I'm getting to see a non-murder case, woohoo. "Black as a starless night. More hot and bitter than Hell itself....”

“This game really did a great job wrapping up this amazing trilogy. The writing, the characters, and of course, the court system really just hit their peak with this entry. I especially liked how the whole game really fit together at the end, bringing all the pieces from all three games back into the fold at the same time, to deal out the ultimate justice and create a fitting end for this series. I can't say too much about this one that I haven't said about previous games in the series (which is mostly stuff like "THIS IS AWESOME!"), but I'm giving this one the gold star. If you have a DS, you owe it to yourself to play this.”

“It all comes to an epic end in this title, and I love the prosecutor... Goldot? I forget his name, but he loved coffee, I remember that, fighting against this guy was one of the most intense logic wars of this century. OBJECTION! OBJECTION!...”

Ok, jokes aside, this game was truly worth it, but you need to play the other two to fully grasp how excellent this game is.”

“'kay, did not see any of this coming. What a great way to wrap up the trilogy, bringing threads from each of the previous games to bear. Looking forward to seeing this final mystery solved.”

“Huh... didn't see any of that coming, I really feel some finality with this last trial, and I wonder where it's all really gonna go. Weird how everything's kinda led up to this. Lookin' forward...”

“Havin' a really hard time with this case. Which is weird, considering I don't have 3 pages of evidence to scroll through, just the one. But still, the unravelling is going well. And I think I...”

“That bitch is back! What the crap? And things are starting to make sense now. It feels kinda like the first game again, where there's actually a theme happening.”

“Very interesting game concept. Obviously, court room drama was high on the priority list as the first case lacks none. However, I felt that the animesque style somewhat worked against the seriousness that court rooms usually merit. A system of thumbnails or an event index that let you jump to it instead of having to fast forward through things you've seen would also have been useful.
All in all, a delightful and satisfying experience for me, especially if taken one case at a time. :D”
