DESCRIPTION

Take the role of a unique, customized character to adventure with other gamers from across the country. As in the Dreamcast and GameCube versions of this title, players design their characters from a choice of a dozen character types and three different classes. Adventurers meet in futuristic space station headquarters then travel to the surface of a dangerous alien planet to seek rewarding battle with deadly monsters. This version of the game offers a single-player mode, a two-player split-screen mode, and an online multiplayer mode. Online play with this version of Phantasy Star requires an internet connection and the Xbox Live service. Additionally, gamers must have a "Hunter's License," which is free for the first two months of play and available by monthly subscription thereafter. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
