DESCRIPTION
Following the successful Dreamcast release of Phantasy Star Online, veteran developers at Sega's Sonic Team returned to the studio to design this enhanced GameCube version of the multiplayer action-adventure game. In addition to all the features of the original January 2001 DC release, Phantasy Star Online Version 2 offers new areas, enemies, and quests, and even some new lounge-area mini-games to play while waiting for the party to assemble. This version also includes a new, higher difficulty setting and allows players to develop their favorite characters all the way up to level 200. In addition, Phantasy Star Online Version 2 features special accommodations for player-versus-player battles to make sure they're handled fairly and to keep this style of play from interfering with the generally cooperative tone of the rest of the game. ~ T.J. “Finally found this game, been looking for it for years. Despite its age its still a solid multiplayer game. ”

“Finally got my Mag up to level 100 - been working on a new one for a while. Now to feed it 'till it gets to be a nice fat 200.”

“I STILL play this game. That should speak volumes of the gameplay that existed back around 2000 (I played the PSO EP1 on Dreamcast - but my DC is quite toast, so the GC version suffices!). The random loot, Mag raising, customizing your character...”
“I STILL play this game. That should speak volumes of the gameplay that existed back around 2000 (I played the PSO EP1 on Dreamcast - but my DC is quite toast, so the GC version suffices!). The random loot, Mag raising, customizing your character via materials, shooting aliens over and over again (and over!), and the fun of online with others is only part of what makes this game enjoyable.
If you can find an old copy sitting around, a friend with a PSO server or download one yourself (it's been reverse engineered), and an urge for dungeon-like crawling through areas to kill things and get their stuff in a 3rd person format, then give it a go!”

“Played with my friend last night, and had a damn good time. I'm really not sure why I like this game so much, but I have a feeling that it has to do with the whole "rare loot" aspect. ...”

“Was too restless to play any intensive thought games. Still, had quite a bit of fun running around doing brainless shooting. Wife: "So... this game? Is it your objective to open doors? ...”

“Couldn't sleep, so I decided to play some brainless gaming. I really like this game, and wish they would re-make PSO for Wii or Xbox 360. PS0 is close, but anything PSU is just...bad. IMHO :D”

“Finally got my RAmarl to level 55, and killed Hard's version of Dark Faltz solo with no mates, no fluids, 56 health and 13 TP left. I killed it with a shot while it had my "soul", so each...”

“Hah, got attached to a PAX person's PSO server, and had a great time! Been so long since I played PSO EPI&2. Leveled my RAmarl to 52. :D”

“So THAT'S what happened to my old disc. Sweet. At least my memory card still has its old save on it, so I don't have to go through the trouble of creating a new character all over again.”
