DESCRIPTION
Fans of the popular website www.penny-arcade.com can step into a fantastical interpretation of the Roaring Twenties, complete with Tommy-gun violence, Lovecraftian intrigue, and traditional turn-based gameplay in Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One. Players create their own unique character, and then join Tycho, Gabe, and other series mainstays as they explore New Arcadia as part of the Startling Developments Detective Agency. The game features an original story penned by Jerry Holkins, and the action alternates between adventure-style exploration and the classic turn-based battles and character-leveling of role-playing games. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

The comabt is time based not turn based, so it's based on how quickly your attacks can recharge, also you can block enemy attacks if you time it right, combining strategy, timing and creating a combat system where you have to be paying attention to several things at once.”
