The iPod edition of PopCap's Peggle plays similarly to earlier versions on larger screens: Players drop a ball through a game board full of pegs, as in the Japanese parlor game Pachinko (or the "Plinko" game on The Price is Right). The ball bounces careens on its way down, out of the player's control after the initial drop, hitting differently colored pegs to accomplish objectives and score points. A limited number of balls are available, but a free ball is earned when a drop ends up in the basket at the bottom of the peg board. As players progress through the game's Adventure mode, different teacher characters appear to provide new challenges and special power-ups. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide
