DESCRIPTION

Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain is a complex strategy and combat game in which you compete on a galactic scale for species and resource domination. In typical world-beater fashion, as one of eight pre-generated species (with options to modify any of the pre-existing races or even create a new one completely from scratch) you focus your attention on efforts such as exploration, colonization, research and development of over 300 technologies (with a Technology Tree similar to those found in other games of the world-building genre), diplomacy (alliances and treaties), treachery, and management of resource development. The interface is basically point and click (with plenty of keyboard hotkeys available) with most action directed through six main game menu screens that allow interaction with research, fleet command, domestic policy, foreign affairs, sector views and the planetary surface. Weapons technology and ship design enhancements are required as your species expands throughout the universe to colonize more planets and confront other races for supremacy. The ultimate goal is total domination and destruction of all opponents. Pax Imperia: Eminent Domain features customizable game play parameters such as universe size and number of computer opponents that affect difficulty levels and the game supports multiplayer action via modem, local area network or internet connection. ~ Michael L.
