In Andrew Braybrook's cult action game Paradroid, a robo-freighter fleet encounters mysterious radiation outside the Beta Ceti system. The robots on board go crazy and hijack the ships. In scrolling top-view action, players control a brave little droid beamed aboard to take back the ship single-handedly. How? Well, the robots are numbered in order of power, from the tiny 001 to the mighty, lightning-bolt-firing 999. Players control the brave little 001 Influence Device as it whizzes to dodge laser fire, and logs onto computer terminals to see cross-section maps of the ship. Holding down the joystick button enters "influence mode," allowing you make contact with another robot and penetrate his security systems. In another game screen, you duke it out by opening and closing parts of a circuit board. When you've cleared the entire ship of enemies — from the bridge level down to Engineering — the scenario repeats until you've rescued the fleet. ~ John Gorenfeld, All Game Guide
