From the Arcade to your home computer comes Paperboy, a game that puts you on a bicycle, delivering newspapers to neighborhoods in a bizarre suburban community. Your goal is to throw papers to the mailboxes and front porches of homes of paying customers (yellow houses) while breaking the windows of non-subscribers' homes. The houses appear only on the left side of the street.
As you ride your bicycle along the sidewalk, veering into the street and various yards, you must avoid cars, tires, motorcycles, tricycles, gratings, curbs, dogs, children, robbers, workmen and other obstacles. Some of the hazards can be eliminated with an accurate throw of a newspaper and you pick up papers at various points along the way to replenish your supply.
If you manage to make it up the street in one piece, you enter a bonus practice track filled with obstacles and ramps where you score points by throwing papers at targets that line the course. At the end of each workday after you finish your route, you see a summary of your performance. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
