What do you get by crossing the aged classic game of dominoes with the modern classic game of Tetris? Palamedes!
The game's beginning screen features you, a child, at the bottom of the blank playing field ready to fire up a domino for the challenges to follow. And this doesn't take long to happen! Right away, a row of six dominoes, each of varying numerical value, will present itself. By moving left or right and strategically choosing which numerical value would be most effective, you'll eventually fire your like-valued domino, causing the one you aimed at to disappear. At the bottom of the screen the dominoes you have gathered will line up. By grouping certain numerical combinations, as many as five lines of impending dominoes can be eliminated at once. The game ends once the dominoes have reached you at the bottom of the playing field.
Besides standard one-player mode, there is also a competitive two-player option in which you and a friend compete to stay alive the longest. Tournament mode involves one player battling through several brackets in a best-of series (three, five or seven games). Win this tournament and you have mastered Palamedes. ~ Christopher Michael Baker, All Game Guide
