DESCRIPTION
Namco draws upon its most universally recognizable property in this Nintendo DS exclusive. The character that became an icon for the arcade heyday of the early '80s, Pac-Man gobbles his way onto the DS in a game designed to make good use of the handheld's most distinguishing feature. Pac-Pix is played on the lower touch screen, which is usually empty except for one or more ghosts. Players begin by drawing a picture of Pac Man himself. Assuming the rendition is reasonably accurate, it changes to a recognizable yellow color and starts moving forward. The goal is then to draw lines that lead the player's Pac-Man around the touch screen to chase and eat the ghosts. Proficient players can draw and control an additional Pac-Man, to double-team the fleeing ghosts. The number of Pac-Man characters that can be drawn is limited by the player's "ink supply," which is replenished by eating ghosts. The current level, time remaining, score, and other game-related information is displayed in the handheld's upper screen. ~ T.J. Deci, All Game Guide

“A funny little game and maybe one of the most artistic ways to use the stylus. It's fun to draw as fast as you can to survive, but it gets very difficult.”
