Finally getting the chance to break out of his maze, the world famous Pac-Man graduates from limbless dot-muncher to princess-saving, side-scrolling adventurer in Pac-Land for the TurboGrafx 16. The princess is being held in Monster Mansion, a place filled with dangerous passageways, traps, and monsters. You must guide Pac-Man through eight levels of bridges, rivers, mountains, caverns, city streets, forests, and the desert to have a chance at rescuing her and taking her to Fairy Land.
During your quest, ghosts, who have the ability to hitch a ride on buses, planes, UFOs, and other vehicles, will be on your tail. You can avoid the ghosts or, if you eat a power pill, gobble them during the short period of time that they turn blue. In addition to the ghostly action, you can hunt for special items that will make you walk backwards, walk upside-down, become invisible, score bonus points, and other helpful things.
