P.T.O. (Pacific Theater of Operations) is a simulation that will have you in command of the Pacific campaign during WWII. Choose either the Allied or Japanese forces and assume control of 16 fleets in your effort to win the war. The game is won by completing nine different scenarios, ranging from Pearl Harbor to the Okinawa Offensive. Accurate maps will assist you in plotting your course, and the 250 different ships are based on those that fought in WWII.
Commands are issued through a menu system at the top of the screen, where you'll be able to set your plan of attack, launch air strikes, assign fleet commanders, practice diplomacy, gather intelligence, and establish naval policy with allied countries. Ten difficulty levels are designed to help players of different abilities learn the game at their own pace. Don't worry, you won't have to win the war in one sitting: battery backup will save up to two games in progress. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
