DESCRIPTION

Overboard! is yet another title by Psygnosis that combines many elements of gaming to produce a fun 2D Action/Shooter. The action takes place on water in pirate ships and a number of objectives must be accomplished to free the oceans from the evil Blowfeet. So arm your galleon as you get set to take on the seas against hordes of pirate ships and bases.

Overboard! features twenty levels full of dangerous battles and puzzle solving also plays an important role. Players take on hordes of pirate ships and bases over spectacular 3D oceans wandering over distinctive themes sporting puzzles, action and bosses. Psygnosis have also included a multi-player mode where up to five players can take out there own frustration on each other. A total of ten maze like levels are provided for this very mode giving Overboard! an advantage over most Playstation multi-player games. Weapons include cannons, rockets, broadsides, mines, depth charges, oil slick, lightning and flamethrowers.

There is also a number of difficulty modes, options and it comes as no surprise that the game looks and sounds top class though the graphics can seem a little dated at times. ~ Brad Penniment, All Game Guide
