DESCRIPTION
Based on the popular Japanese manga series about captain Monkey D. Luffy and his band of Straw Hat Pirates, One Piece: Unlimited Adventure finds the gang on an all new adventure designed exclusively for the Wii. A mysterious island pops up in the middle of the ocean after the Pirates stumble across a strange orb, and the eight-person crew heads inland to discover the island's secrets. Gamers can use any one of the eight characters to explore the island in Adventure Mode, battle with and unlock 40 characters in Vs. Mode, or test survival skills in Survival Mode. Collectible items are strewn about the island, there are three unlockable costumes for each of the eight Pirates, and every character has unique moves specifically designed for use with the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide

“Very good One Piece single player adventure. You can play any of the Straw Hats (Aside from Brook who hadn't been introduced yet) and the gameplay follows a solid action/platformer style with a couple of RPG elements. The environments are a big plus on this game being unique and memorable. There is a satisfying amount of secrets as well which fits in really well with the exploration aspects in the game. You also fight a lot of characters from all the parts of the series as bosses (Though they are mere projections or something, its been a while since I played) and they are unlocked in the multiplayer mode when beaten. This makes the character selection of the multiplayer mode very good, but unfortunately the limited options and pathetic move lists make this mode lose most of its value. Again though. as a single player game, this is great and should be a very satisfying purchase to a One Piece fan. (owned and completed. Accurate score is 7.5)”
