DESCRIPTION

A game that turns Marble Madness on its ear and makes creative use of the Super NES's vaunted Mode 7 effects, On the Ball has players twisting and turning a series of 99 different obstacle-laden mazes in order to progress a gravity-sensitive ball to the finish line within a set amount of time. The effect can be a bit dizzying, but the unique gameplay is strangely addicting, and the overall concept is a good one. Reverse Gravity rounds, Limited Rotation rounds, and varying degrees of course difficulty make the game sufficiently challenging, but not frustratingly so. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
