DESCRIPTION
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is the first of a proposed five part Oddworld Quintology. Playing as Abe, you must save yourself by escaping from the deadly confines of RuptureFarms, the meat factory at which you were recently employed, and lead your fellow Mudokon friends to safety. It seems as if the slaughterhouse has exhausted its meat supply of Meeches, Scrabs and Paramites and now your diabolical boss, Molluck the Glukkon of the Magog Cartel has decided that new meat, namely Mudokon flesh, will make a delectable substitute in the meat processing plant.
The game is long and a bit more complicated and requires much more than just escaping from the game opening scenario where Abe is chained up in a cell awaiting interrogation. The story in Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is shown from the perspective of a flashback that explores the reasons why Abe is in this predicament. Once RuptureFarms is behind you, the phrase "out of the frying pan and into the fire" comes to mind as you encounter haunted temples, face terrible monsters, go head-to-head with the mutilation-minded Bigface, rescue pals and discover secret moves. Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is a 2D platform adventure/puzzle/action game filled with surprises and secrets with loads of strategy, wit, humor, voice and sound effects and coordinated actions to master. ~ Michael L.
