DESCRIPTION

Relive the Civil War in North and South. The game incorporates both strategy and action as you take the side of either the Union or the Confederacy. You must move your troops around strategically so that they can capture as many unoccupied or enemy towns as possible. You can even combine two armies to make a more powerful one. Meanwhile, watch out for natural disasters and Indian or Mexican attacks. Action is thrown in when you invade an enemy fort, hoping to make it to the flagpole so that you can exchange theirs for yours and claim it for your side. You can start your game in any year between 1861 and 1864, each resembling the situation of either side at the beginning of each year. (1865 was not included since the South was in such bad shape at that point.) North and South gives you a chance to rewrite history. ~ Christopher Michael Baker, All Game Guide
