DESCRIPTION
The world will soon be overcome by an unkown evil power if you, the skilled ninja named Ryu, are unable to keep two mysterious statues from falling into the wrong hands.
The challenge is incredible: flip, duck, jump, and hack your way through over ten extremely challenging side-scrolling levels. As you make your way past the legions of enemies and bosses, you are treated to cut-scenes where the story unfolds. Your main weapon is the mighty Dragon Sword, but you also pick up special temporary weapons during the course of each level.
Ninja Gaiden does not include a save feature and is for one player only. ~ Aaron Kosydar, All Game Guide

“This game was very hard, but then again, most NES games were, yea? It provided an interesting story, in an era where most didn't have any stories.”
