As a rift reopens between this world and the realms of evil, the svelte and stealthy Hibana must battle demons from beyond to save the people of Tokyo. The heroine's ninja skills are matched with a deep understanding of the mystic arts, making her the last, best hope to keep the city safe and the evil contained. While Nightshade's gameplay is similar to that of Sega's 2002 version of Shinobi (also developed by OverWorks), the kunoichi Hibana may perform a number of new special attacks never known to her male counterpart. Shadow dancing, she defeats powerful foes with flashy finesse. An enhanced "Tate" system allows unlimited combos, and filling her "Chakra Gauge" allows Hibana to perform powerful ninja magic. ~ T.J.
