Dark, gothic role-playing meets turn-based tactical combat in this unusual strategy adventure from the makers of Silent Storm. Based on the film of the same title (known as Nochnoj dozor in its native Russia), Night Watch puts players in the role of an "Other." Others appears as normal human beings, but have strange ties to the supernatural that grant them extraordinary abilities. Others are chosen to use their powers in support of one of two ancient factions. Those Others who fight for the Warriors of Darkness are known as the Day Watch, while Others who serve the Forces of Light are called the Night Watch. As a new member of the Night Watch, players must prove themselves worthy through a series of missions. With success in the field, they gain points that may be spent on stronger powers, as well as the rank required to take command of their comrades.
