Although it merits some consideration for its early foray into the full motion video, interactive movie genre, Night Trap is dreadful in terms of sheer gameplay, which involves monitoring the activity in various rooms of a mansion (by toggling between cameras) and activating traps whenever vampire-like creatures appear. The objective is to protect six girls (including Dana Plato of Different Strokes fame) from attack. Following the mystery storyline clues players into where and when the attacks will occur, but the "action" nonetheless feels like a guessing game more often than it should. The visuals are grainy, but the soundtrack and voices are pretty decent. Overall, this is a groundbreaking (if overly short) game, but it won't lure you into its trap. ~ Brett Alan Weiss, All Game Guide
