DESCRIPTION

NFL Blitz 99 is the sequel to 1997's NFL Blitz from the developers at Midway. The game play is similar to the original. Five-player rosters from NFL teams square off with no penalties. Taunting, showboating, and hard tackles are all part of the game.

To play, players must select an NFL team and then choose an offensive or defensive play, depending on which side of the ball he/she is on. Players must go 30 yards for a first down. Extra points are automatic and are not shown. Players can opt for the two-point conversion, which requires running an additional play after a scoring drive.

NFL Blitz 99 features Midway's Play Editor, which lets players create, personalize, and store specially designed plays. With a Nintendo 64 memory card, players can design plays at home and bring them back to the arcade for customized play. To use this feature, players must have NFL Blitz for Nintendo 64.
