DESCRIPTION
Ten companions await your arrival in Neverwinter Nights 2. Journey back to Faerun and select from such characters as the dwarf fighter Khelgar, the half demon rogue Neeshka, and the wood elf Elanee to accompany you on your adventures. During combat, you may also opt to control your three companions directly, or let the AI make the decisions. Your party's morale and loyalty to you is based on the rapport you build with the group. Those who don't agree with you or your opinions may up and leave your party without notice. However, the more your mates trust you, the more information they will share.
Added spells, feats, and advanced prestige classes are based on the Dungeons and Dragons 3.5 edition rules, and can be mixed and matched to create a character that embodies your playing style. With Obsidian's Neverwinter Nights 2 Toolset, you can create your own adventures, buildings, terrain, dialogue, quests, and items, and then share the scenario with friends through the Internet.
There is an evil presence gathering in the world of Faerun, but due to the tension between Luksan and Neverwinter, no one is noticing. The presence is gathering strength and minions to launch a dark campaign against the North. You must lead your companions against this unnamed entity and use your skills to defeat this foul foe before it destroys the land of the North. ~ Gracie Leach, All Game Guide

“Better graphics than NWN, more items and weapons for the Aurora Toolkit, more races and customization options ... worse game. From Obsidian, the same studio that made Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, with the same feeling that the game is over-revised technically and yet under-done narratively.
The city of Neverwinter doesn't even kind of look the same, either, and it didn't burn down so badly in the first game that there should be a lake in it now, and Lord Nasher Alagondar doesn't look like any depiction of him in any previous game or tabletop supplement.
The kindest thing I can really say is that this is one of the best sequels to a great game for someone who never played the original; the revised graphics and interface might feel better to a new player than the older one, but at what cost? At what cost.”

“I'm playing with a romance mod for Bishop, I'm at a point where nothing seems to be happening between the two, and I'm worried influence with him won't be high enough at the end.”

“A massive step-up from the first installment of this game. The graphics were improved greatly from the first game and the gameplay was at least entertaining. I admit, I lost numerous hours to this game.”
