DESCRIPTION

The Neopets online world of virtual pets pounces onto PSP as a fantasy adventure inspired by Gauntlet and The Legend of Zelda. Players can choose between four cuddly "petpets" as they attempt to locate the fabled Wand of Wishing that will save the enchanted realm of Neopia. Combat takes place in real-time as players master an assortment of weapons and magical attacks to defeat enemies from a top-down viewpoint. Each character is individually rated in such areas as strength, health, and defense, but attributes can be improved over time by finding special medallions. Players will adventure through a series of themed areas, each populated by a boss creature from the Neopets universe. Among the featured environments are snowcapped mountains, arid deserts, dank catacombs, and more as players search for over 800 items to assist them in battle. WiFi support is available within a special arena called the Battledrome, where players can pit their favorite petpet against friends to compete in various challenges. ~ Scott Alan Marriott, All Game Guide
