DESCRIPTION
Electronic Arts brings the pagaentry of college football to the PC with NCAA Football 99. Every Division 1A team - over 100 of them - is available with their complete 1998 rosters and authentic stadiums. Real fight songs, marching bands and chants are part of the action.
On the field, use wrap tackles, pitch fakes and pump fakes to defeat the other team on your way to a major bowl game. Play an exhibition against the computer or up to four other friends either on the same machine or over a modem or LAN. You can also set up a four-, eight-, or 16-team tournament or select a team and enter Dynasty Mode, where you'll get to play multiple seasons. At the end of each one you'll play conference championship and bowl games and then recruit freshmen to replace the departing seniors before the next year.
There are even 40 of the greatest matchups in college football history waiting for you to replay them and see if you can change their outcome. If you need some help before taking a snap in a real game situation, there's also a practice mode where you can hone your skills.
Play in a variety of weather conditions on one of three skill levels. Coach mode allows you to sit back and call the plays while the computer shows you how they turn out. If fatigue is on, players will get tired as the game progresses.
So select your alma mater and relive your college days in NCAA Football 99. ~ Brad Cook, All Game Guide
