This game from EA Sports Big takes the Street brand to the streets, as one of the first portable versions in the popular, exaggerated-action sports game series. As in the PS2 editions of the title, this debut release of NBA Street for PSP allows players to design an unknown, custom character, who works his way up to virtual stardom through a series of three-on-three, playground-style basketball games against teams that feature current and past stars of the NBA. Athletes can perform superhuman feats of agility and jumping, and the game rewards flashy shots, blocks, and rebounds that make use of these talents. NBA Street Showdown supports wireless competition between two PSP gamers, as well as "Shot-Blocker" and "Arcade Shootout" mini-game modes for one to four players on a single system. ~ T.J.
