With the Xbox release of NBA Jam, Acclaim Sports continues the fast-action basketball series that began as a coin-op game in 1993. Players once again choose from 29 NBA teams as they prepare to challenge the computer or a friend in three-on-three competition. Over 150 star players with individual ratings based on the 2002-2003 season are included along with authentic courts. A variety of over-the-top dunks can be performed in an attempt to catch "on-fire," which pumps up an athlete's abilities for as long as the opposing team is held without a basket.
