NBA Jam is back in the form of an all jammin', blockin' 3D sequel called NBA Jam Extreme. In this new version, NBA Jam features a number of worthy update such as team, player, stats and a now larger selection of five players per team in this arcade 2 on 2 dunk fest.

Visually the game as already mentioned is 3D with motion captured animation detailed visuals. The audio is much the same with hip hop-ish video game tunes and the running commentary is provided by Marv Albert. NBA Jam Extreme also allows up to four players to play on the same screen but no other multi player options have been included.

A gamepad is also recommended especially if you want to play multi player Jam and a number of other new options and features such as big head mode are worthwhile additions. ~ Brad Penniment, All Game Guide
