DESCRIPTION

Shonen Jump's hit animé series returns to DS for another round of RPG exploration and turn-based combat. Once again, the impetuous but good-intentioned Naruto is joined by a small squad of his fellow ninjas-in-training to explore the lands around hidden Leaf Village, meet other characters, and embark on quests for the good of all. Players guide a squad of four characters, each with unique abilities and powers. More than two dozen fan-familiar Naruto characters are available in the game, although some must be sought out and unlocked by playing through the adventure. Unlike the first, manga-based DS game, Path of the Ninja 2 follows its own original storyline, encouraging even the most well-read (or well-watched) Naruto fans to play through to the end. The sequel also adds support for two-player gaming, either online through Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connect system or through a local Ad hoc connection between two game card-equipped DS players. ~ T.J.
