DESCRIPTION

This remake of a Japan-only Super NES release puts handheld gamers in control of Shiren, a Ronin (masterless Samurai) who travels through a fantasized version of feudal Japan on a search for the Land of the Golden Condor. Joining Shiren on the journey is his weasel sidekick Koppa, and together the two collect mysterious items, create spells, and take on monsters and thieves in classic turn-based RPG battles. Developer Chunsoft boasts of more than 30 hours of gameplay thanks to randomly generated dungeons, an expanded roster of monsters, and three new areas exclusive to the DS version. Unfortunate explorers who expire in a dungeon can also use Nintendo's Wi-Fi Connection to contact a friend for an emergency resuscitation. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
