The first game from RPG giant Square Enix that is specifically aimed at pre-teen girls, My Pet Shop takes place in the colorful burg of Green Town, where players begin working for the newest pet store in the city. Gamers then set about finding the perfect pets for Green Town's residents, and then caring for and playing with each animal. Helping out in the shop earns players money, which can be then spent on more than 100 different fashion accessories designed to make the critters as adorable as possible. There are more than 40 different animals available, including dogs, pigs, pandas, cats, and bears, and 120 critter variations help keep the creatures unique. Town sponsored photo and fitness contests give gamers a chance to showcase all the tricks the animals have learned, and Nintendo's Wireless Connection lets friends swap their most interesting pets. ~ Christopher Brown, All Game Guide
